Here are as few tips to follow on how to get things done in the new year:
- Write your list. Everything you can possibly think of that you need to do to get to your end game. Not the high-level wafty goals, the real nitty gritty. Get it out of your head and on
paper/Evernote/whatever you write on these days. - Admit what makes you go “Meh”.
Anything on that list that doesn’t ‘fry your burger’, this is where you either ; take it off the list (i.e. it’s not really that important after all), outsource it, get someone(s) to help you with it, or suck it up and just do it (there are always things that we have to do that we don't necessarily enjoy). Don’t ever be afraid to ask for help, it can be incredibly empowering to do so. - Slow and steady wins the race!
This is so true when it come to getting a whole lot of things done otherwise you can end up doing a whole lot of things not very well. Take baby steps, but be consistent, particularly if you are undergoing lifestyle changes (i.e. exercise and diet). You don’t have to be like a bull at a gate and master everything in one go. - Review your list regularly!
Life changes, shit happens, things you thought were going to be awesome turn out to be ‘not-quite-so-awesome’. Make sure you have left room to add things, scrap things and change things and enough time to take regular breaks to chill out, breathe, eat great food and spend time with loved ones.
